(That most of you won't have to care the least about, btw, just need to vent cause I'm childish and tired! 8D; )

First, the important stuff first, tomorrow I'll have my first day o' work for the coming months till I start at school in January to retake the courses I failed in High School XD; (Yeah, I know, shut it nao >:U )



The rant? Is about PC-gaming, so most of you prolly want to stop reading at this point.. XD

Infinity Ward and their newest title. What happened to you, IW? You used to come out with the non-shitty CoD titles unlike... Treyarch, which basically fucked you over. Now you're screwing yourselves over by "console-ising" the PC version of Modern Warfare 2 to a ridiculous level of a watered down port, as well as making the single player, what, 4-6 hours long? Even VALVe's Half-Life 2 episodes are that length (One by one!)

Kinda surprising it's -that- short considering how the trailers show: Terrorists in a civilian airport (here, lulz at Australia), a hectic scenario climbing a cliffside during a blizzard, a fast-paced snowmobile chase, a underwater scene with military SCUBA divers, and of course the prettyful scenes showing Washington DC itself under attack by Ultra-Nationalist Russians (I.e wanna-be Soviets). To me that sounds like it should get into a average game-length of 10-12 hours or longer, but then again, story-telling in games seem to decline these days.

I'd love to see this short campaign for myself, but it's the slaughter of the multi-player that makes me rage inside. I myself wasn't that hyped for this (I am rarely hyped by games these days anyway), so it's not about the game itself, it's about the principle and what this will do for PC-gaming as a whole. They removed the menu console, mods, the dedicated servers, the server-browsing, and made it so it's only max 9v9 players (Not that I care for clans one bit, but I do prefer large heated battles online, not a pissy skirmish). In short, they removed everything that makes PC-multiplayer superior to console-multiplayer.

EDIT: The point being that seeing how Modern Warfare 2 has hit the record of having the most pre-order sales to date, more developers might get hit by the Stupid-flu and do the -exact- same things... To console players and -especially- the morons who bought the PC version of MW2, thanks for putting a fatal dent in PC gaming!

Sadly, yes, I'm a PC-elitist. I'm not saying I look down on console-players, not at all. But, the difference is, like a guy wrote a few days ago and I'd consider him a saint for saying it that way: "Consoles are merely separate past-times, while the PC is a way of life"...
