She's got so much personality! It's refreshing to see a nice traditional type gryphon around here, some people try too hard to make theirs stand out. I really love her position and expression >w< I think you should have a look at some feathered wings to get the shape of the feathers and the structure, though ;)

Yeah, the wings here aren't impressive at all XD
My defense is that I did this one from sketch to "final" work in about an hour, and this one was the first one I ever did of her without any armor at all, so the big thing was to create her a face. A face that would still look as much like an eagle but still be a sort of cute, expressive face. Thus I'm particularly happy with her eyes, they are the big outcome of this drawing in my own eyes ^^
I have to create a sort of reference sheet for her, like you've done with Blue :)

Her face is wonderful and conveys a lot of personality :3 A lot of people make animal characters which are sort of dead looking and have no personality, but you've definitely avoided that : )

She's a kind and caring creature. Even for her size :)
She would stop at nothing to help those she cares about, and in case I have forgotten completely to write it somewhere else here on DA, she has been raised by humans on a farm since she was hatched. But they didn't treat her like a farm animal, nor a regular pet, they treated her like you decently treat another person. (though she couldn't live in the house itself after her wings started to grow seriously huge).

I wish she was real :XD:

Awwwww, she sounds cute >w< Being a gryphon growing up on a farm would be awesome.

Everyone wishes their characters were real >w< I would so love to have a li'l Bluejay gryphon following me around 8D I would be like 'ATTAAAAACK' and would be like 'wtf no'

Actually it was as recent as December I decided to finally start coming up with my own fantasy stuff, this resulted in me drawing a lot again, and Scythia is the reason for it. I struggled finding a proper name for her, until I talked to a dutch friend of mine I've played World of Warcraft with in the past. Her name alone serves as many as four purposes:

1. It sounds like a girls name (girl version of Scythe in my mind)
2. It sounds dangerous (kind of a masquerade name now, as she is generally harmless xD)
3. It refers to the real-world ancient Kingdom of Scythia, where the legends and myths of Griffins may originate from.
4. It sounds COOL! ^^
